Program Overview

The Larch Team - Young Adult Discipleship Training Program

The program is designed to provide a year of ministry training, certifications and job experience for 18-25 year olds, living in a small community at Camas Meadows Bible Camp.

Full Time Option: October-September

During that time you will have completed a 30 credit Christian Ministry Certification program (~120 hours) through Christian Leaders Institute, individual certificates for childcare, wilderness first aid and sexual abuse risk management, received additional life skill and ministry training and countless hours of community life and team building. 

Cost: $4500 for the year round program. Optional “work to pay” days will be available once a week on a Saturday or Sunday. Payment plans are available.

Part Time Option: 10 Week Sessions (Fall, Winter or Spring)

Certifications and classes will vary.

Cost: $1500 per session, food, lodging, classes, certification fees included. Optional “work to pay” days will be available once a week on a Saturday or Sunday. Payment plans are available.

There are only a limited number of spots available each session. Program will consist of 4-6 participants maximum.

Role & Ministry Focus

As part of your discipleship training you will choose an area of ministry focus. During each session you’ll have a mentor to help train and guide you in this area of ministry. Related to your area of focus, you’ll choose a service project to complete.

Program Certifications

Christian Ministry Certification

Available for young adults participating full time.

Certification is not required. If you are participating part time (1-2 sessions only), you are still expected to participate in the group classes designated for each session.

All classes, homework and quizzes are online. We will watch videos and read together as a group, but there will be personal work to complete outside of the group class.

About the Christian Ministry Certification

The Christian Ministry Certificate is a comprehensive credential that prepares students for a broad range of Christian leadership roles. This certificate provides a solid foundation in biblical studies, theology, prayer, and practical ministry skills. It’s ideal for those seeking to deepen their ministry effectiveness, pursue ordination, or continue toward a ministry degree.

Whether you are already involved in ministry or just beginning your journey, this certificate demonstrates that you have completed a rigorous and well-rounded program of study rooted in Scripture and spiritual leadership.

How This Certificate Supports Your Journey:

  • All completed courses apply to degree programs in the Leadership Excellence School.

  • This certificate is a stepping stone toward becoming an Ordained Minister or Officiant.

  • It can be shared with your church, ministry, or employer to show verified training and readiness for Christian leadership.

Additional Certifications

These classes will be completed by all participants during each session.

Housing & Food

As part of the discipleship training program you’ll receive dormitory style same-sex housing (shared room and shared bathroom with community living space and kitchen) for the duration of your enrollment.

You’ll have access to a variety of food in the community kitchen for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Many dinners will be done in the community, but you’ll be responsible for making your own breakfast and lunch.

Cost

Pay a $150 non-refundable deposit to secure a spot in the program by June 1st, 2026. 

Each session cost is $1500 and includes housing (and utilities), food and certification or class fees. You are encouraged to fundraise for the cost of this program. 

You may choose to work one day a week for camp as part of your payment. One day of service will be equivalent to $100 in credit. Work days are not guaranteed. 

Payment plans are available and due on the first of each month of a session.
Fall payment schedule: $500 due on October 1st, November 1st and December 1st.
Winter payment schedule:  $500 due on January 1st, February 1st, March 1st.
Spring payment schedule:  $500 due on April 1st, May 1st, June 1st.
Summer: No cost - This is a service based session.

Program Requirements

There are limited spots available each session. You may not be selected if the spots are already filled.

  • Complete an application  and pass background check and reference checks.

  • Pay a $150 non-refundable deposit to secure spot in program by June 1st, 2026. 

  • Sign and complete Medical & Liability Waiver

  • Must live on-site and be able to attend for each 10 week session.

  • Only 4-6 applicants will be accepted each session.
