What Parents Are Saying

This is the highlight of the year for my kids. They feel loved, they both say there’s nowhere else they’ve felt closer to God, they love night games and their counselors, they rave about the food, they enjoy the water activities, and they both wish it was another week. As a parent, I trust that they’re getting Biblical teaching that has life application and that is free from political persuasion. I know how hard everyone works to keep kids safe, even if it means difficult decisions. I know leadership leans to the cautious side and I value this tremendously. The web page is helpful with FAQ and every time I’ve reached out I get a prompt reply, which is greatly appreciated. Seeing their faces on Facebook calmed my heart and mind.

Is my child ready for overnight camp?

Camas Meadows is an outdoor, off-grid, camp located about 30 minutes from Leavenworth, nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. Every night the power is turned off and cell service is limited.

Camps are tailored for each age group. In general, the days are filled with high energy, outdoor, activities where campers will most likely get dirty and try new adventures.

To have a safe and positive camp experience, campers should be able to follow directions in a group setting, sleep away from home, be willing to encounter nature (creatures and weather), eat a variety of foods, change clothes daily, use the restroom regularly and shower on their own.

Camp has a mixture of loud activities and quiet time and campers should be able to regulate themselves for both environments.

Please Note: Our staff is not equipped for special needs that require one on one supervision. If you have concerns about whether camp environment is the right fit for your child, please contact us before registering at office@camasmeadows.org
