No late applications will be accepted. You will be contacted for an interview, if needed. We will contact you shortly after an interview with a decision.

Opportunities

We are a Bible based, non-denominational, retreat center and summer camp. Our main goal is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and create the best environment for doing that.

Program Intern

The Program Intern will help create the weekly schedule, lead activities, give announcements, keep schedules moving, work with counselors and learn how to manage staff.

As a program intern you will be in charge of leading camp programs and learn valuable on-the-job leadership skills.

Counseling Intern

The Counseling Intern will be a mentor and support for younger counselors. They will have weekly one-on-ones with each volunteer counselor of their gender, help facilitate games, and may be asked to step in as a volunteer counselor depending on the needs of the week. They will learn valuable mentoring skills.

Support & Maintenance Intern

The Support Intern will be leading our support staff all summer. Support Staff are the volunteers who come up to camp to wash dishes, run paintball, do a variety of maintenance, and help in the kitchen.

As the Support Intern you will be leading these young volunteers in group discussions after chapel, as well as organizing their work schedule and participating in supporting the camp with them.

We are looking for individuals who are willing to invest their summer and make an impact on lives that need to experience the love of Jesus.

Please prayerfully consider this opportunity for a summer of service at Camas Meadows.

We look forward to receiving your application!

 Financial Support

We provide a stipend of $1000 per month for our interns during their time of service so they can focus on learning and growing through their experience. As a non-profit organization committed to providing scholarship help to any who need it, our ability to provide financial compensation is limited.

You are welcome to raise additional financial support through support letters, etc. Camp is happy to assist in this effort, with letters, emails, or having a representative from Camas visit your church.

Time Commitment

As Summer Staff you will be committing to spending about eight weeks of the summer at Camas Meadows Bible Camp. This would be from June 10th to August 18th.

You may chose to take one week of the summer off, provided it is not during a Camas-run camp. If you have any schedule concerns or questions, please contact Daryl “Scruffy” Wilks at (509) 548-6553 or (509) 670-4675.
