The meadow grasses grow golden as summer fades and a crisp bite touches the air. The leaves on the aspen trees and bushes turn yellow, pink, and red before slowly sifting to the ground carpeting the paths around camp in a wash of color. The elk gather in the meadow and the sound of six point bulls bugling out their challenge rings through the night. Bear lumber through the forest, gorging on berries before the winter snows arrive. Snow shoe hare turn from brown to white and deer bound through the brush in graceful flight. Summer camps are over and winter has yet to arrive, but if your church group is wanting to gather in the quiet of God’s creation and refresh themselves for the busy school year ahead, now is the perfect time to schedule a retreat.
