Date: December 26-29, 2017
Who can attend: Anyone who has ever been on staff at Camas Meadows Bible Camp or is interested in joining the Camas Meadows Staff Team this year.
What this retreat is for: The Staff Winter Retreat gives our staff a chance to become the campers and enjoy some focused time with one another. For new people, it’s a great opportunity to get connected and become part of the family. Also, as a mid-point between summers this retreat allows us to unplug, lay down the burdens of life, and “come home” to reconnect with God through His word, the encouragement of His people and the quietness and beauty of His creation
What to expect: There will be outdoor fun playing hockey, tubing “the Hill”, cross-country skiing or hiking to Inspiration Point. There will be time to play board games or relax by the fire with a mug of cocoa. We will come together for worship, teaching and discussion to strengthen and encourage our relationship with God. Sweet Tea will be preparing her famous Camas Cuisine and the coffee will flow freely. This retreat could be a high point both spiritually and geographically for you this winter.
Our 2017 Speaker, Nathan “Treebeard” Whitham is a Chaplain in the US Army. He is married to Becca Whitham, a published author. Together they have two grown children, Steven “Gorp” Whitham and Lyndell “Felix” Duston, both of whom have been on staff at CMBC. Over the years, he has been a police officer, prison chaplain, and pastor, among other roles. He has a passion for discipling families and reaching the hearts of the men, women, teens and children who are in them.
Cost: $100 for the full retreat or $25 per day if you can’t make the whole thing.
