If you've been on staff at Camas Meadows or are seriously considering it, you are invited to this fun retreat where the counselors become the campers! Zorak will be the featured speaker and worship will be led by Choco and co.

Summer Staff Winter Retreat
December 26-29, 2010
A winter get-away in the mountains where the staff get to be the campers! Have fun in the snow or inside sipping cocoa by the fire with the funky folks who serve at the Camas Meadows Summer Camps (or want to in 2011).
This will be a great opportunity renew our relationship with God with Ken "Frosty" Farmen, of Grace Bible Church, sharing from the word of God.

Beginner Paintball Tournament October 30
We will be hosting our fall paintball tournament on Saturday, October 30. This event is for 3-person beginner teams only. Played on our inflatable speed ball course, this is a fun and intense activity for anyone 8-80. The cost is $75 per team plus $50 per case of paint, with prizes for the top teams. Camas Meadows supplies all the gear and staff for this event, although you can bring your own paintball gear if desired. Come enjoy a beautiful fall day on the meadow playing paintball.

Supplemental Work Weekend October 15-16
We need to catch up and get a year ahead with our firewood so it has time to cure. There will also be some maintenance projects and winterizing going on. Bring gloves and a sense of adventure (and a chain saw if you have one)!

Camas Meadows Fall Work Retreat
The fall work retreat is coming up this weekend, September 17-19. Come help maintain and improve the camp facilities to keep this camp a special place to come and meet with God. Come anytime Friday or Saturday and leave whenever you need. Bring work gloves and any tools, especially chainsaws, that you are willing to use.
Cost: Free
Meals provided: Saturday breakfast through Sunday lunch
(no meals provided on Friday)

Summer Staff Training!

This week-long retreat is the foundation for our summer ministry. Our summer camp counselors, program and support staff will be here to be trained and equipped as a team unified in spirit, love and purpose. The theme verse for Staff Training this year comes from 1 Timothy 1:5 "But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith."

Drilling a new well!
Camas Meadows Bible Camp is moving to establish a new, on-site source of refreshing mountain water for its users. This is important for both the current and long-term needs of the camp. Memorial Day Work Retreat - May 28-31
This free weekend is a great opportunity to experience and support the ministry of Camas Meadows Bible Camp. We work hard, play hard, and enjoy fellowship with one another. The work at the May retreat includes cutting firewood, clearing brush and other work preparing the camp for the summer ministry. Bring your work gloves and skills, if you have them!

New Rental Opportunities!
Camas Meadows Bible Camp now has some openings that have be previously unavailable. The camp may now be rented on the Memorial Day and Labor Day holiday weekends. Additionally, the June 14-18 and August 23-26 weeks are available for rental. All of these dates are great times of year for running a youth, family, men or women's retreat at beautiful Camas Meadows. If you are interested in any of these dates, contact the camp office at 509-548-6553.

Original Lodge remodel under way!
The old lodge, known at times as the Registration Lodge or Fireside Lodge, is undergoing a major remodel to the first floor. The bathrooms will be completely redone, new flooring laid, and a kitchenette installed in the Canteen Room. This will allow us to rent this building separately for a smaller groups (under 20) if the primary guest group does not require it.

| Cold. It's so cold it hurts. When I asked Grandma Autumn how cold it was this morning, she said it was up to -3 degrees. Yesterday a water line broke and flooded the kitchen. Today a fuel line to generator froze rendering it...off. The family group here this weekend are having a great time playing in the snow and great attitudes about the power situation. |
