Camas Meadows Bible Camp hosts a bi-annual weekend board gaming retreat for Christian gamers. This retreat is about connecting Christian gamers with one another, with great games, and with God. CamasCon offers the Pacific Northwest a unique opportunity for gamers to get together for fellowship and friendly competition in a distinctly Christian setting. The food is top notch, the fellowship is great, and the gaming is pretty diverse. There is a large lending library of games and you are welcome to bring your own to the retreat as well. You can also connect with us on BoardGameGeek at the CamasCon Guild.

Meadows Bible Camp will be hosting it's fourth annual fall board game retreat
to bring people together through playing, learning and teaching
games. All gamers are welcome to attend. There will be a wide range of
european and american-style games available to play. Our traditional Settlers of Catan tournament will take place on Saturday with prizes for the top finishers.
Jon Johansen returns as
retreat speaker to teach with the wisdom, grace and humor God has given
him. We will once again be
running a game auction to raise money for the Hands and Feet Children's Village, a ministry to the orphans of Haiti. All funds
from the auction will go directly to the Hands and Feet Project. Game
donations are welcome. For those that have
Monday free, you can stay Sunday night as well!

Past CamasCon reports: Spring
CamasCon
2010 Sean "Squeegy" Lian, outdoor activities director at Cedar Springs Camp in Lake Stevens, was the retreat speaker at our second Spring CamasCon . Using the life of Daniel as an example, Sean encouraged us to live a courageous life. As usual, the gaming fellowship and food was awesome. The Race for the Galaxy Tournament was won by last year's runner up, Aaron Warnock, who took home a copy of the Rebel vs. Imperium expansion. Epic game of Starcraft? Check. CamasCon
2009 Our third fall board game retreat was a fantastic experience. It was unusual in the absence of several core CamasCon members & staff due to work, military and sickness. but there were many new gamers that came. The messages from Jon Johansen on trusting God through trials, walking in purity, and leaving a legacy were phenomenal - definitely the highlight of the weekend. There was a 16-person Settlers Tournament on Saturday, won by Aaron Gibbs of Spokane. The fundraiser auction for the Hands and Feet Project received generous donations of games and bids, allowing us to raise $215 for this orphanage in Haiti. You can read more about the retreat at theBGG CamasCon page. Spring CamasCon
2009 Our inaugural Spring Edition of CamasCon was our largest retreat yet, with around 40 gamers playing a broad range of games. Brian Picchi won the Race for the Galaxy Tournament and took home a copy of the Gathering Storm expansion. Once again, there was an epic game of Starcraft. A CamasCon Math Trade was successfully executed thanks to the knowledge and efforts of Andrew Tullsen.
CamasCon
2008 The second annual CamasCon retreat was a blast. There was much gaming, eating and fellowship. Nathan
"Treebeard" Whitham shared about bearing the image of God. We raised
nearly $200 to help with the rebuilding of the Hands and Feet Project
children's village in Haiti. Thank you to all who donated games and bid
on items. Sixteen players competed in the Settlers tournament on Saturday. After two preliminary rounds, the top 4 went to a final championship game.
Brad Gorter of Renton won a close game against fellow finalists Matthew
Payne, Jesse Lian and Andrew Tullsen to take the championship and a new
game. Everyone had great attitudes, enjoyed teaching and learning new
games, and the food was incredible (thank you Phyllis and Cathy!). The
most common request we had was to increase the frequency of the
retreat. This led us to schedule the spring edition of CamasCon!
CamasCon 2007 Tony Wall won the inaugural CamasCon Settlers Tournament. Nathan selected "what's in the box" for his prize. We raised over $70 for the Hands and Feet Project.
