Camas Meadows Bible Camp hosts a bi-annual weekend board gaming retreat for Christian gamers. This retreat is about connecting Christian gamers with one another, with great games, and with God. CamasCon offers the Pacific Northwest a unique opportunity for gamers to get together for fellowship and friendly competition in a distinctly Christian setting. The food is top notch, the fellowship is great, and the gaming is pretty diverse. There is a large lending library of games and you are welcome to bring your own to the retreat as well. You can also connect with us on BoardGameGeek at the CamasCon Guild.

Bible Camp will be hosting it's sixth annual fall board game retreat
to bring people together through playing, learning and teaching
games. All gamers are welcome to attend. There will be a wide range of
european and american-style games available to play. Our traditional
Settlers of Catan tournament will happen on Saturday with prizes for
the top finishers. And we will again have a
game auction to raise money for the Hands and Feet Children's Village , a ministry to the orphans of Haiti. Game donations are welcome.
Previous CamasCon Reports: CamasCon 2011
brought 40 gamers together at Camas to enjoy the fun and fellowship of
board gaming. We were blessed to hear the inspiring and challenging
words of our speaker, Mark Teeter, father of game reviewer Hayden
Teeter. Mark spoke on how the Truth is Narrow, we can Trust the Word and
its Author, and how we should Live with Intention and Purpose. His
historical and biblical knowledge, combined with his passion for Christ
brought John 4 alive in a new way. On Saturday, twelve people
competed in the Annual Settlers of Catan Tournament. The 2010 champion,
Steven Whitham, stretched his winning streak to 7 games in the three
preliminary rounds. Other finalists included Sean Lian and Caleb Payne,
our youngest ever finalist, who qualified in a tie-breaker over Xander
Robertson and Jesse Lian. In a rare victory over his son, Nathan
triumphed in the final to take the 2011 championship. CamasCon gamers also demonstrated much generosity in raising $324 through a game auction to support the Hands and Feet Project.
Spring CamasCon
2011 This was another great CamasCon weekend featuring a Pitchcar tournament, a fun, fast-paced dexterity game. Andrew "Howitzer" Tullsen narrowly beat Jesse "Ness" Lian on a brilliant final shot for the Pitchcar championship. We also enjoyed hearing from Chris Weedin, who spoke about character - using RPG elements as object lessons. CamasCon
2010 Our fourth fall board game retreat was the largest CamasCon to date, with over 50 joining us for the weekend from Washington, Idaho, Oregon and California. Jon "Crush" Johansen returned as the retreat speaker, sharing from the Bible, his life, and from the Lord of the Rings as he challenged and encouraged gamers in their relationship with God. One attendee shared about the impact of the weekend: "[we] just had a great weekend to relax and recharge and re-focus (on Christ). The games were great, but that's not what was special about the weekend...We're both really looking forward to the Spring event!" During the retreat, we gave out several awards and games for fun and raised about $200 in our Silent Game Auction for the Hands and Feet Children's Village in Haiti. Thank you to everyone who donated games or bid on items! There was a 20-person Settlers Tournament on
Saturday, won handily by West Point graduate Steven Whitham, who took first in all three preliminary rounds as well as the final.
